khasta




Khasta Video Recipe


Ingredients


  • 1/3 Cup residue of ghee
  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup wheat flour
  • 1/3 Cup water
  • 1/4 Cup oil or ghee
  • Oil or ghee to fry

Method


  1. Take residue of ghee, sugar, wheat flour and ghee in a bowl.

  2. Mix all the ingredients properly and knead the stiff dough using water.

  3. Roll dough into thick circle and and cut with cookie cutter.

  4. Now with a pen cap slightly press in middle to make small circle.

  5. With a fork gently press to make design. Make six small cuts. Now make petals.

  6. Heat oil in a kadhai. Put the khasta flowers in oil.

  7. Fry them to nice golden brown on low-medium flame. drain them on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

  8. Finally, allow khasta to cool to room temperature and store them into an airtight container.
