Dhoie ki daal

Black gram skinned(soaked)1 cup
Onion 1 small
Bayleaf 1
Green cardamom 1-2
Black cardamom 1-2
Cloves 1-2
Black pepper 5-6
Ginger-garlic paste 1tbspn
Garam masala powder 1 tspn
Salt to taste
Ghee 2 tbspn

For tempering

Ghee 2 tbspn
Chopped onion 1small
Cumin seeds 1tspn

1.   Heat ghee in a pan.Add chopped onion, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, black pepper and bayleaf saute till onion change colour.
2.   Now add ginger-garlic paste stir well. Add chopped green chilli, garam masala powder mix well.
3.   Add soaked daal and fry few minute, add salt and 1/2 cup water cover the lid.
4.   After 1 whistle turn the flame low and cook daal about 4-5 min.
5.   In a pan heat ghee. Add cumin seeds and chopped onion saute till onion turn brown. Pour the tadka over daal and serve hot.
