Beetroot curry

Ingrediants

beetroot 5
Onion finely chopped 2 medium size
Cumin seeds 1tspn
Musterd seeds 1tspn
Ginger Garlic paste 1 tblspn
Tamrind pulp 1 tblspn
Chilli powder 1 tspn or to taste
Garam masala powder 1tspn
curd 1cup
Salt to taste
Sugar 1/2 tblspn
Oil

Method

  1. Wash beetroots properly, peel and slice them length wise .
  2. Heat oil in a Cooker and add cumin seeds add chopped beetroot and mix well. Add in salt and mix well Place a lid and pressure cook about 15 min in low flame.
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add musturd seeds ,onion saute well add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  4. Add tamarind pulp and mix well. Add in chili powder, salt, sugar, garam masala powder and mix well.
  5. Add curd and mix add 1cup water and bring this to boil.
  6. Add cooked beetroot and mix well. Cook about 5-6 min Serve with fried rice or chapati.
